Scribepost for January 14 2009




In the previous days Mr. Isfeld has taught us about the Measures Of Central Tendencies. There are Median Mode and Mean.

Mean-is the sum of a set of values divided by the number of values i the set.

Eg. 1,2,3,4,5 first add all the numbers and it all equals 15 then count how many numbers there are and then you divide it. 15÷5=3 that is the mean.

Mode- is the most frequently occuring number in a set of data.

Eg. The mode in 3,5,7,7 and 9 is 7.Modes of 2,2,4,6,6,8 and 11 are 2 and 6.The data 1,3,4, and 5 has no mode.

Median- is the middle number in a set of data after the data has been arranged in order.Eg. The median of 2,5,6,8 and 9 is 6.If there are two numbers in the middle you just add it and you divide it by 2.

Eg. The median of 1,3,6,8,9 and 10 is 7.6+8+1414÷2=7therfor the median is 7.

    Ummm... Celdrick, you were suppose to talk about the notes you guys took today. Remember? The ways to make your scribepost more interesting? (eg. pics, videos, links, etc.) But I did notice that you uploaded two videos. That's good, but you should explain how you did it.

    Celdrick nice work, although you should include all the notes you wrote in today's class. Take a look at room 44 for an example. Keep up the good work.

    Nice work ! But the bottom video was kinda hard to read becuase of the little letters for it .. And maybe change the colours of the font ? Anyways .. goodjob ! .. But who goes next ?Maybe you can change that ;P
